Consumer Terms and Conditions

  1. About us
    1. Who we are. Majestic Wine Warehouses Limited t/a Majestic, (we and us) is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1594599 and our registered office is at Majestic House, The Belfry, Colonial Way, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD24 4WH.
    2. We trade in our Majestic stores and via this website (www.majestic.co.uk) (Website) which is owned and operated by us.
    3. Our registered VAT number is 563 0589.
    4. Contacting us. To contact us telephone our Customer Services Team at 0345 605 6767 or email info@majestic.co.uk.

    Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them before you place your order with us. On placing an order with us you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  2. The contract between us
    1. By placing an order through the Website, you warrant that:
    2. You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
    3. You are at least 18 years old (see section 3: Age restrictions).
    4. The contract between us Our acceptance of your order will be when we process your payment, at which point we will send you an order confirmation email and the contract between you and us will come into existence (Contract). If you place an order with us on Saturday, Sunday or a bank holiday, it is likely that the order will be processed and confirmed on the following business day in the UK.
  3. Age restrictions
    1. It is against the law for any person under the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol or for any person over the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol for any person under the age of 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you and the recipient of the alcohol are at least 18 years old.
    2. Please note that Majestic operates an age verification policy which applies to all delivery and collection points, and you may be asked to provide ID both on collection and at delivery, depending on how you order. If our couriers are in doubt of the age of the recipient of an order, they will request some form of ID. If this is not satisfied, they are not permitted to leave the alcohol at the address submitted on the order.
  4. Order process
    1. You can order our products online via the Website or by contacting your local Majestic store or our Customer Services Team (via telephone or email).
    2. You can access your shopping basket, review your order, and make any changes to your order at any time until the point at which you place your order.
  5. Prices
      1. The prices payable for the products that you order are as set out in our Website. The price includes VAT (where applicable) at the current rate chargeable in the UK.
      2. Prices for our products may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order you have already placed.
      3. We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, products and their specifications at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order.
      4. We use our best efforts to ensure that the prices of products are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the Website system. However, please see section 5.6 for what happens if we discover an error in the price of products you ordered.
      5. The price of the products does not include delivery charges, which may be payable by you depending on the value of your order and your delivery location. Our delivery charges (if applicable) are as advised to you during the check-out process before you confirm your order or can be found on our Delivery information page. The total cost of your order will be set out on the checkout page of the Website.
      6. We sell many products through our Website. It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products on our Website may be incorrectly priced or sized (in relation to the unit or case). If we discover an error in the price of the products you have ordered we will, at our discretion, either cancel your order and notify you of the cancellation or contact you to inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the products at the correct price or cancelling your order. We are not obliged to supply products at the incorrect price, case or unit size.

    Majestic in Scotland: please note that our prices in Scotland operate differently to England and Wales

    1. Scotland. The Alcohol Scotland Act 2010 prohibits any alcohol promotion offering customers a discount for buying multiple products in Scottish licensed stores. The Alcohol (Minimum Pricing) (Scotland) Act 2012 sets a minimum price per unit for all alcoholic beverages sold in Scotland.
    2. Wales. The Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Act 2018 and The Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Minimum Unit Price) (Wales) Regulations 2019 sets a minimum price per unit for all alcoholic beverages sold in Wales.
    3. For all our customers to benefit from our promotional deals and competitive pricing, wherever a ‘Mix Any Six & Save’ price (or any other deal as applicable) is offered in England, this will be single bottle price we charge in Scotland, unless such a price is under the minimum unit price threshold in Scotland (as outlined and updated by the Alcohol (Minimum Pricing) (Scotland) Act 2012).
    4. Our Website allows you to choose where you would like your order to be delivered or collected from before placing the order. By default, our Website shows the pricing in England, however if you select an address served by a location in Scotland, the prices shown online will be automatically updated to ensure that unit prices are updated to reflect the minimum pricing threshold in Scotland.
    5. Alcohol laws in Scotland only cover deliveries that originate in Scotland, and any deliveries to Scotland originating from an English location will not be affected by such laws. In these instances, the prices shown online will be prices valid in England and (including Mix Any Six & Save discounts). This will also be applicable if you are based in Scotland and you are placing an order for delivery to an address in England.
  6. Our products
    1. The images of the products on our Website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your device’s (that being computer, phone or tablet) display of the colours accurately reflect the colour of the products. Your products may vary slightly from those images.
    2. We reserve the right to amend the products if required by any applicable statutory or regulatory requirement.
    3. All product measurements are approximate only and the packaging of the products may vary from that shown in images on our Website.
  7. How to pay
    1. You can pay for the products via PayPal, American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Applepay and Googlepay.
    2. If products are returned, refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt.
    3. Payment for the products and all applicable delivery charges is in advance of delivery, and we will take payment from you at the point that we dispatch your order to you. If you are ordering via a Majestic store by phone or email, a member of the team in store will take your payment over the phone.
    4. If we fail to take payment from you (for example, due to insufficient funds), your order and subsequent delivery will be suspended until payment is made and we will contact you to notify you of the issue and request that you make payment of the order.
  8. Majestic Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards
    1. Valid gift cards can be used to purchase all products in Majestic UK stores (please note that this excludes our Jersey store). For more information on gift cards, see the Gift Cards section below.
  9. Returns and right for you to cancel your contract
    1. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel your contract with us for the products you order, and obtain a full refund, if you notify us that you wish to cancel no later than 14 days from the date you receive the ordered products. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract nor will you have to pay any penalty.
    2. If you have received the products before you cancel your contract then you must send the products back to our contact address within 14 days of cancelling your order. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the products for delivery you must not unpack the products when they are received by you and you must send the products back to us at our contact address.
    3. We will refund any return delivery costs you have incurred once the products have been received by us although, as permitted by law, the maximum refund will be the costs of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer and we will not refund any difference between this delivery method and a more expensive delivery method.
    4. We may make a deduction from the amount refunded to you if the products have been used, individual bottles or cases are missing or the products or their packaging have been damaged.
    5. If you cancel the contract, the refund will be given (via the payment method you used when purchasing the order) within 14 days after we have received the returned products (if returned by post) or at the point of return (if returned to your local Majestic store). A full refund will be given provided that the products in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
    6. You will not be able to cancel if the products (a) have become mixed inseparably with other items after their delivery or (b) are bespoke in nature and have been made to your individual specification and/or requirements.
    7. If you want to cancel or return the products, you must email us at info@majestic.co.uk or contact our Customer Service Team by telephone on 0345 605 6767 (during weekdays between 9.30-19.00 and weekends between 10.00-17.00) or by post addressed to our Customer Service Team at Majestic House, The Belfry, Colonial Way, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD24 4WH. If you are emailing us or writing to us, please include details of your order to help us to identify it (including your order number, your full name and your email address).
  10. Cancellation by us
    1. We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
      1. we have insufficient stock to deliver the products you have ordered (and you have not opted for any substitutions);
      2. we do not deliver to your area (please see our Delivery information page); or
      3. one or more of the products you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
    2. If we cancel your contract we will notify you by email and will refund any payment taken by us to the credit card or debit card, that you used to pay for the products with, as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
  11. Delivery of products to you
    1. We will deliver the products ordered by you to the address for delivery as stated on your Majestic customer account or as otherwise provided by you at the time you make your order.
    2. An estimate delivery timeframe for each of our products is given on the individual product pages on our Website. Further delivery information can be found here.
    3. Once the products have been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email from us and any update from us will depend on the following:
      • If you select nominated day delivery, you will receive an email from Yodel enclosing a tracking link and number in order for you to track your delivery; or
      • If you select standard delivery, you will either be (1) allocated to your local Majestic store if there is availability of the products ordered by you and our store will contact you to arrange delivery, or (b) you will receive an email from Yodel enclosing a tracking link and number in order for you to track your delivery.
    4. Delivery timeframes are not binding and are provided as estimate only. Therefore, the delivery timeframes cannot be relied upon as the guaranteed date of delivery. Occasionally our delivery to you may be affected by an event that we cannot control. See section 19 for our responsibilities when this happens.
    5. Delivery of the products may be attempted, by ourselves or our nominated courier Yodel, up to three times, after which the products will be returned to us where we will ask you to contact us. If after failed delivery, you do not re-arrange delivery or collect the products from the location notified by us to you, we will contact you for further instruction and reserve the right to charge you for any further delivery costs.
    6. If, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you or re-arrange delivery or collection we will be entitled to end the Contract and refund the cost of the order, minus a reasonable sum to cover our costs incurred from the failed delivery.
    7. As payment is made by you in advance, you will become the owner of the products you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once the products have been delivered to you, they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss, damage or destruction.
    8. It is your responsibility to make sure that an authorised person over the age of 18 is present at the delivery address, at the time of delivery, to sign our courier’s delivery note for the products.
    9. Please note that delivery to a neighbour or nominated safe place location may not be available for age restricted items such as wine and other alcoholic beverages. We will not be liable whatsoever if an unauthorised person, at the delivery address, takes and signs for the delivery. The courier’s confirmation that delivery has taken place will be binding.
    10. We deliver to mainland UK only and do not deliver to the Channel Islands. We cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Please see our Delivery page for more information on timescales and delivery charges here.
  12. Click & Collect

    We may from time to time offer a click and collect service for orders placed on the phone, website or via email to certain selected stores.
    You can either:

    • Shop Local & Collect: order by 3pm, collect same-day. Please check stock in your local store, pay online and collect your order from your chosen local store; or
    • Shop Website & Collect: choose Click and Collect on the Website, ready to collect from your chosen local store in 3-7 days.

  13. Product availability and substitutions
    1. Due to the nature of our products we cannot always guarantee the availability of the products (particularly specific vintage products). If we notify you that a product is unavailable after you place your order, and you have not opted for any substitutions at the point of ordering, we will contact you to either arrange a replacement or refund you the order (if payment has been taken), at your choice.
    2. If you opt for substitutions when placing an order with us, this means that if a product within your order is unavailable, we will replace it with a similar product of equal or higher value of our choice.
  14. Your responsibility to inspect the products on delivery

    If the products are damaged, faulty or otherwise defective, you should reject them on delivery, or, if a defect is found after acceptance we will (if they are proven to be faulty), replace or refund you.

  15. Our liability to you
    1. If the products we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, you are entitled to a refund or replacement up to 30 days after delivery. If you wish to exercise your legal rights to reject the products(s) please contact our Customer Service Team.
    2. We will not be liable for any damage to the products that has been caused by you after delivery of the products.
    3. Delivery timeframes are estimate only. If you do not receive the products ordered within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we will have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing by email or by post of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the products.
    4. Depending on the time in which you notify us of a problem and subject to our right to inspect, our only obligation will be, at your option:
      1. to make good any shortage or non-delivery;
      2. to replace any products that are damaged or defective; or
      3. to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question.
    5. You agree not to use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes. We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition.
  16. We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for:
    1. death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
    2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
    3. any breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (title and quiet possession);
    4. any breach of the terms implied by section 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (description, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and samples);
    5. defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; and
    6. any breach of the terms implied by sections 9,10,11,13 and 14 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
    7. We will have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question, in accordance with these terms and conditions. If we fail to comply with our contract, we are only responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of failure to comply with this Contract or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it were an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by both you and us at the time we entered the Contract.
    8. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under any applicable law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
  17. Our No Quibble Guarantee

    If you have ordered a bottle of wine which you did not enjoy, and provided it is still within the recommended drink date and has been stored in suitable conditions, we will arrange to replace the bottle with a product to your satisfaction or give you a refund. In accordance with these terms and conditions we reserve the right not to refund or replace any products that were damaged by you or where we reasonably suspect that your return or claim is not genuine.   18. Notices

    Unless otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, all notices from you to us must be in writing and sent to our contact address at info@majestic.co.uk and all notices from us to you will be displayed on our Website from to time.

  19. Events that we cannot control

    We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver products you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to products delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

  20. Invalid terms

    If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

  21. How we use your personal information
    1. To supply you with the products we will need to collect and process your personal data. In doing so, we will comply will all applicable data protection laws when processing any personal data in order to fulfil our obligations to you. To find out more information about how we collect, process and store your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
    2. When creating a Majestic customer account with us and/or purchasing products from us, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
  22. Third party rights

    Except for our affiliates, directors, employees or representatives, nothing in this contract is intended to or will create any benefit for or right to enforce any of the Terms of the Contract to any third party.

  23. Governing law

    We will try and solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take Court proceedings, then English law will apply and you may bring proceedings in respect of the Products in the courts of England and Wales.

  24. Complaints and contacting us
    1. If you need to contact us with a complaint or any other issue with your order or your experience with us, please contact us at info@majestic.co.uk giving as much detail as you can about the issue and your order. All complaints will be acknowledged within 2 working days and we will do our best to resolve your complaint within a further 72 working hours. You will be kept informed if there is any delay beyond this timescale.

  25. These terms and conditions
    1. These terms and conditions (together with our Terms of Use, our Privacy Notice and Cookies Policy) apply to all orders you place and any purchases you make via this website, telephone or email where you are purchasing as a consumer for private consumption and not for commercial purposes.
    2. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
    3. We may change these terms and conditions at any time and without notice to you in relation to future sales. Any changes will take effect on the date that the terms and conditions are published. Therefore, please check and ensure that you understand the terms and conditions which will apply at the time you purchase any products.

Gift Cards & E-Gift Cards

  1. Gift cards are available for purchase and use in-store, and E-gift cards are available for purchase here and for use online.
  2. Valid gift cards can be used to purchase all products in Majestic UK stores and Majestic.co.uk, but cannot be used for glass loan deposits. Gift cards are not valid at Majestic Jersey or Majestic.je.
  3. Gift cards are valid for two years from the date of issue. Unused gift cards after this time cannot be used or refunded.
  4. Gift cards cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, returned for a refund, have their balances consolidated to a new voucher or be replaced after expiry and are not legal tender.
  5. If your purchase exceeds the value of the gift card, balance must be paid by cash, debit or credit card.
  6. If your purchase value is less than the face value of the gift card redeemed, no change can be given.
  7. If you return any products you have purchased using a gift card, the refund balance will be returned to you in the form of a gift card.
  8. Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  9. Majestic reserves the right to cancel a gift card if we deem necessary. If so, we will provide a replacement gift card of equivalent value unless we suspect fraud in relation to the original gift card.
  10. Your legal rights are not affected by these terms and Section 9 of our Consumer Terms and Conditions may apply.
  11. Majestic reserves the right to vary or replace these conditions at any time.

Voucher terms

  1. Voucher offers are single-use, non-transferrable, have no cash alternative and are only valid at participating Majestic Wine stores, as set out in the terms and conditions of the relevant voucher. Unless specified on the voucher, the voucher or online code is not valid at any Majestic Wine stores in Scotland and Wales. Aged 18 years or over only. Photocopies are not accepted, and vouchers will be retained by store staff at the point of purchase once used.
  2. The expiry date is as specified on the voucher or, where no such date is specified, the voucher shall expire at 23:59 on the date of issue. In the case of a product which is the subject of a voucher being out of stock within the promotion period, Majestic may be able to offer a replacement product at the store manager's discretion. Majestic staff reserve the right to refuse a voucher being claimed should they feel the transaction is in breach of terms and conditions.
  3. We reserve the right to withdraw or cancel vouchers at any point.
  4. Ask in store or call our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 605 6767 for further details.
  5. Any purchase made with a voucher will be subject to our Consumer Terms and Conditions (if applicable for online purchases) or our in-store Terms and Conditions (if applicable for in-store purchases), as well as any terms and conditions set out on the relevant voucher.

Majestic Consumer Sale and Return Policy

  1. This policy sets out the terms on which you can return wine, spirits, beer, cider, cocktails, soft drinks and mixers (collectively “Beverages”) purchased for occasions and special events and receive a refund (the “Policy”).
  2. You will be entitled to return up to and including 25% of the price point of return of unused Beverages, provided that:
    1. you return the cases or bottles of the Beverages, unused and unopened, in the same condition and state in which you received the Beverages;
    2. you have ordered the Beverages for an event or occasion;
    3. the Beverages have been stored appropriately in line with any guidance provided by us or the producer; and
    4. the unused Beverages are not damaged or defective in any way whatsoever.
  3. You must return the Beverages within 21 days of the event or occasion and provide proof of purchase. Note that this does not affect your legal rights. Please see section 9 of our Consumer Terms & Conditions for more information on returns.
  4. Provided you satisfy the requirements under these terms and conditions for a refund, the amount outlined in section 2 of this Policy will be refunded to you via the same method of payment in which you ordered the Beverages.
  5. Your legal rights are not affected and you still have a right to return the products in accordance with Section 9 of our Consumer Terms & Conditions*. However, if you handle the goods whilst they are in your possession in a way which would not be permitted in store (for example, by opening a bottle or removing a seal), we will reduce your refund to reflect the reduction in the value of the goods.
  6. You accept full responsibility for the security, safety, and risk of any Beverages you wish to return pursuant to the term of this Policy.
  7. Theterms of this Policy are subject to and governed by our Consumer Terms & Conditions. By returning any orders in accordance with this Policy, you agree to bound by these terms and conditions, together with our Consumer Terms & Conditions.

Price Match

  1. We never want you to feel you’ve paid too much when you shop at Majestic. If you find a wine of the same product (including type, vintage, quality and quantity) cheaper at these retailers - Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and the Coop, we’ll match that price for a quantity of up to 6 bottles in any one transaction. The price match price does not include promotion prices, loyalty membership prices or any other offer or conditional pricing (eg Clubcard, Nectar)
  2. Alternatively, we’re confident we can find you a better tasting wine for the same price. Plus, if it’s not absolutely delicious we’ll give you your money back under the Majestic 'No Quibble' guarantee, up to the value of £60 (for more details on this, including eligibility, click here).
  3. Just mention the wine you want to match to one of our colleagues in store, along with proof of the retailer offering the wine for a cheaper price, or give our Customer Contact Centre a call on 0345 605 6767.
  4. The offer is subject to availability. Prices are matched pro-rata by unit-price per item.
  5. We’re sorry that we’re unable to offer the Majestic Price Match in Scotland due to the Alcohol Scotland Act 2010 and Wales due to the Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Act 2018.
  6. We reserve the right to amend or remove individual products and retailers from the price match policy or remove or amend the price match offer at any time.

In-Store Tasting

  1. Book in advance at your local Majestic store if tasting for a specific event (including a wedding or large party). Equipment is provided in store for the purposes of tasting, subject to availability.
  2. The range of beverage products available for tasting will be subject to the store’s absolute discretion or as advised by the product supplier.
  3. The quantity and volumes for tasting will be subject to the store’s absolute discretion. Majestic will not tolerate, and shall take all steps to prevent, any excessive consumption of alcohol on its premises.
  4. All individuals participating in tasting must be 18 or over (being the legal drinking age in the UK).
  5. Dates, times and product availability may vary and tasting events may need to be changed at the discretion of Majestic sometimes at short notice, please contact your local store for details. Selected stores only.

Glass, Chiller and Ice bucket hire

  1. These terms and conditions set out terms on which you hire glass, chiller and ice buckets (Equipment) from Majestic. On hire of the Equipment you agree to these terms and conditions.
  2. All Equipment hired remains the property of Majestic at all times.
  3. You will be required to collect the Equipment in-store.
  4. We will ask you to confirm the date of your event (which we shall record on our system for the purposes of section 4(a)), and to pay a deposit on demand and in-store, when collecting the Equipment for use, as security on the Equipment hired. The deposit will be refunded to you on the original source of the funds when you return the Equipment, provided that:
    1. you return all the Equipment within two weeks of the date of your function; and
    2. the Equipment is returned, washed and clean, and in the same condition and state in which you collected it for hire.
  5. You accept full responsibility for the security and safe use of the equipment until returned to us in-store. Please note that you may return the Equipment to any of our stores. If you return the Equipment in a poor or damaged condition, you may lose your deposit or your deposit may be reduced by an amount proportional to the damage caused, subject to the state of disrepair and our reasonable discretion.
  6. Whilst we will make every endeavour to supply the Equipment, all items of Equipment are offered subject to availability in-store

Wine Club Subscriptions

  1. Persons must be aged 18 and over to subscribe. By subscribing, you are confirming that you are 18 or older. It is illegal for us to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
  2. You can sign up to ‘Wine Club’ either in-store or online. Signing up and subscribing to ‘Wine Club’ means we will automatically send you your chosen Case(s) at a quarterly frequency, subject to availability.
  3. By subscribing to ‘Wine Club’ you are agreeing to pay recurring periodic subscriptions for an indefinite time, until deactivated by you or us, on the subscription terms set out in these terms.
  4. Wine Club by Majestic is not subject to our price match guarantee.
  5. To sign up for this service, you must create an online account.

  18. “Wine Club Benefits” - Special conditions relating to "Wine Club Benefits”
    To qualify for "Wine Club Benefits", you must be an active member. An active member is defined as having a live account and having taken equal to or more than 50% of case sends within the last year.
    For example: -Cancelling your subscription will result in the deactivation of your benefits. -Skipping over 50% of previous sends will deactivate your benefits.
    1. Benefit - "Wine Club New Sign-Up Subscription Vouchers" - Sign-up vouchers are issued to new customers, and are issued for the first year of subscription, only. Vouchers are valid provided that you are deemed to be an active member as defined above.
      1. Sign-up vouchers issued pre-April 2023 come in a physical booklet – Each voucher in this book will cover two months of a calendar year and will become valid at midnight on the first day of the first stipulated month and expire at 23:59:59 on the last day of the voucher’s second stipulated month.       1. Mix Any Six pricing does not apply to our stores located in Scotland.
    3. Benefit - 10% off at Showcase Tastings for Wine Club Members - Wine Club members receive an extra 10% off any purchase made at the end of the Showcase Tastings event. Ask our in-store colleagues to find out more. To benefit from this, please show your last case-ready email. Such events will be subject to separate terms.
    4. Benefit - Two free tickets to a Discovery Tastings event for Wine Club Members - Members will receive two free tickets to our exclusive, expert-led Discovery Event tastings. Tickets will be emailed to you annually in the month of your Wine Club sign-up anniversary. Tickets will be valid for one year from the date of issue and our event tastings will be subject to separate terms.
  19. We reserve the right at our discretion not to renew your subscription at any time without giving any reasons for our decision. Such reasons may include (but not limited to) suspicion of fraud.
  20. You can cancel your Wine Club subscription at any time, by:
    1. logging in to your Majestic account and following the cancellation procedure,
    2. sending us a message at wineclub@majestic.co.uk, or
    3. contacting our dedicated Wine Club team on 0330 818 0750 and we will help you cancel your subscription.
  21. Prices may be subject to change, but we will always update you before your next case is sent so you have time to make changes if required.

Lock It In Subscriptions

  1. Persons must be aged 18 and over to subscribe. By subscribing, you are confirming that you are 18 or older. It is illegal for us to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
  2. Signing up and subscribing to 'Lock It In' means we will automatically send you your chosen wine(s) [from our Lock It In list] at a frequency (1,2 or 3-month intervals) and quantity (12, 24 or 36 bottle orders) that suits you, subject to availability.
  3. By subscribing to 'Lock It In' you are agreeing to pay recurring periodic subscriptions for an indefinite time until deactivated by you or us, on the subscription terms set out in these terms.
  4. Lock It In prices are valid for active subscribers only and guarantees our best price all year round. At times, our Mix Any Six prices may temporarily drop to match our Lock It In prices. If, for any reason, a Mix Six price improves on our Lock it in price during a Lock It In send we will match the lower price.

En Primeur



Technical Terms:

En Primeur; literally means “wine futures”. The method of purchasing wine before bottling via a dedicated merchant or winery.
In bond; buying in bond is a way of purchasing wine before Duty and VAT have been paid. They must be stored in a bonded warehouse approved by HM Customs & Excise.
X “Growth” refers to a classification laid out in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855, when brokers organised wineries based on quality, price and reputation - from first to fifth. The system is largely still used to this day.

Majestic En Primeur Conditions:

Pricing:
Prices are specific to each vintage and are quoted in bond, inclusive of freight and delivery to our Cellar partner. Prices shown does not include excise duty or VAT. Payment of duty and VAT, at the prevailing rate (currently £26.78 duty per 12 75cl case, £13.39 per 6 bottle case and 20% VAT payable on wine and duty) will be requested once the wines are removed for delivery. Prices may vary due to fluctuations in currency and the market and to stock not being sold.

Storage
Once released from the winery, wines will be stored in-bond by Majestic’s cellaring partner. We will notify you via email when this occurs. At this point you will be liable to be charged Majestic’s cellaring cost, which is currently £7 per six months per 4.5l. This is the minimum cost therefore the same annual cellaring cost of £14 will be applicable to quantities of less than 6 bottles
Example - For a total order of 4 x cases of 6 bottles, the total annual cellaring cost would be £56. Payment requests will be sent via email within 30 days of the wine arriving at our cellaring partner. The cellaring cost will commence at the point of receipt. If wine is removed before the full 12 months,  the total annual cellaring cost will still be payable.


Delivery:
Shipping to our storage facility will be confirmed at a later date, which is expected to be around the time of summer 2025. We will update all customers on pricing and timescales in due course.

Insurance & Ownership:
Majestic remains responsible for insuring the wine at the original price paid until your delivery and/or storage instructions have been completed. If for whatever reason we are unable to provide the full allocation of wines originally ordered (due to damage or situations beyond our control) we will refund the customer’s initial payment in full. We also offer a wine condition service, the pricing of which is available upon application.

Orders:
Orders are placed under Majestic’s En Primeur conditions. Stocks of certain wines may need to be allocated subject to demand, on a first come first served basis. Some customers may not therefore be allocated any or only some of the quantities they have ordered. Orders will only be accepted if there remains unsold stock.

Buying for Investment:
Majestic does not advise on buying for investment, and customers should be aware that price may vary due to fluctuations in currency and the market and to stock not being sold.

Refunds and Returns:
Due to the nature of En Primeur, Majestic will not accept any refunds or returns once the wine has been shipped. Likewise En Primeur wines are not covered by Majestic’s No Quibble policy.

Special Conditions

Special conditions relating to "PerfectDraft"

All purchases of Perfect Draft machines and beer kegs are subject to our full terms and conditions.

  1. Returns & Credit
    1. Empty 6L PerfectDraft kegs can be returned to one of the 194 Majestic stores that stock PerfectDraft. A full list can be found here.
    2. For each empty 6L PerfectDraft keg returned, customers will receive £5.00 credit (Credit) that can be redeemed against the immediate re-purchase of any 6L Perfect Draft beer keg at the same time that the return is made. Other Majestic products can be purchased in the same order, as long as there is a qualifying re-purchase of a 6L PerfectDraft beer keg within the order which the Credit is being redeemed against.
    3. If returning more than one empty 6L PerfectDraft keg, customers will be given Credit for each one which can be used against any order as long as it meets the requirements set out above at point 2 and that the value of the order is more than the Credit being used.
    4. The Credit has no cash value and is non-transferrable.
    5. For customers who made their purchase direct via Majestic and are unable to return their empty Perfect Draft keg to store, please visit our FAQs for further information.
  2. PerfectDraft Beer Tokens
    1. PerfectDraft Beer Tokens can be accrued on all in store purchases of 6L PerfectDraft Beer kegs.
    2. Each 6L PerfectDraft keg purchase earns 20 Beer Tokens with equates to £1.00.
    3. Beer Tokens can only be accrued on up to 10 kegs per transaction.
    4. Customers must have the PerfectDraft mobile application in order to redeem any Beer Tokens. This application is available on smartphones via the Android or Apple Store.
    5. Beer Tokens can then be redeemed on online purchases direct with PerfectDraft.
  3. Faulty/Defective Goods
    1. You have 30 days from the date of delivery of the Product in which to contact us to reject or request a replacement to the faulty or mis-described product.
    2. If the product is found to be faulty or defective, Majestic’s liability for faulty or defective goods shall only be:
      1. if the customer has requested a refund, the price of the products in full with any delivery charges incurred by the customer; or
      2. if the customer has requested a replacement, the supply of a replacement product and any delivery charges for sending the replacement product to the customer.
    3. Majestic accepts no liability for products that have been used or are faulty or defective because the product(s) has not been stored or maintained by the customer in accordance with the instructions contained within the user manual. Further helpful information in respect of storage, use and maintenance can be found on our FAQs.
    4. For all other returns and your customer cancellation rights, please see clause 12 of our consumer terms and conditions for further information.
  4. Warranty
    1. All Perfect Draft machines are covered by a 2 year warranty period beginning from the date of purchase.
    2. All customers relying upon the warranty must be able to provide proof of purchase. Please contact us at Majestic if you require assistance obtaining this, as we may be able to help.
    3. In the event that you do not have your proof of purchase and we cannot assist you in obtaining this, the warranty period shall be deemed to have started three months from the date of manufacture indicated on the machine or derived from the serial number. If you require service for machines without a production date or serial number, a valid proof-of-purchase is required.
    4. The warranty does not cover consumable parts or normal wear and tear and will not apply in cases where the model number, serial number or production date code on the machine has been altered, removed or made illegible, the defect or damage is due to incorrect use, poor maintenance or if alterations or repairs have been carried out by unauthorized third parties.
    5. If your machine is outside of the warranty period, you may still be able to pay for a repair. Please contact us for further information.
  5. Recycling your PerfectDraft Machines
    1. PerfectDraft appliances are electronic household appliances and need to be disposed of accordingly at the end of their life. In particular, this symbol on the product indicates that the appliance must not be disposed of with unsorted common municipal waste. As the end-user, it is your responsibility to dispose of the end-of-life appliance in an environmentally sensitive way.
    2. You can responsibly dispose of your electronic waste by either:
      1. returning it to the distributor/dealer from whom you purchased the product; or
      2. depositing it in a designated collection point.

Special conditions relating to "Make Your Local Majestic"

  1. Introduction
    1. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the "Refer a Friend" promotion ("Promotion") offered by Majestic Wine Warehouses Limited ("We, Us, Majestic") registered in England and Wales under company number 01594599 of Majestic House, The Belfry, Colonial Way, Watford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, WD24 4WH.
  2. Eligibility
    1. This Promotion is open to all existing members of the Majestic Wine Club who are 18 years old or over ("You, Referrer").
    2. A referred friend ("Friend") must be a new customer of the Majestic Wine Club, residing in England and 18 years old or over. Existing Majestic Wine Club customers or those who have previously signed up (including for a trial) are not eligible to be Friends.
    3. You can invite as many Friends as you wish but the conditions of these Terms apply and to qualify, each Friend must be a new customer of the Majestic Wine Club and you must be a Referrer. The Friend cannot submit more than one email address via the welcome email referred to in section 3(D), and they may only be “referred” once.
  3. Referral Process
    1. To participate in the promotion, You must:
      1. be a Majestic Wine Club member and have consented to marketing;
      2. You will then receive an email containing a link to sign up to the Majestic Wine Club (“Link”) which you will be able to forward to each of Your friends and family;
      3. Once the friend or family member follows the Link and signs up for a new Majestic Wine Club account they will receive a welcome email explaining the Majestic Wine Club;
      4. In the email, they will be asked to complete a form providing their name and email address and the Referrers name/email address;
      5. Once the Friend completes this information and clicks on submit, a voucher* will be emailed to the Referrer and the Friend within 7 days of submission.
  4. Voucher
    1. Once the referral process has been completed, You and Your Friend will each receive a £10 voucher* to spend in-store (only) at any Majestic store.   5. Disqualification

  7. How Majestic selects a winner

  1. The Prize
    1. Winners will receive their wedding wine in the form of a refund for their wedding wine order. Participants must place a single order excluding any returns since purchase, which was placed and paid in full between 15th February 2025 to 31st May 2025 and wedding is celebrated by 31st December 2025, up to the value of £1000 including VAT (“The Prize”).
