Damm celebrates 150th anniversary with limited edition designs inspired by iconic locations in Barcelona

Damm has revealed a limited-edition range of 150-year Estrella Damm can and bottle designs available in the UK, marking the first UK celebration of the brand's landmark 150th anniversary.

Launched in early April, the seven exclusive designs showcase iconic locations that tell the story of the brand rooted in Mediterranean culture and lifestyle but enjoyed worldwide. Each design concept celebrates Barcelona's unique character including the architecture, culture, and sporting passion that have defined the city and the brand since master brewer August Kuentzmann Damm founded the brewery in 1876.
The limited-edition collection features the following three locations on the cans and the bottles, central to both the city and Damm:

La Sagrada Família – Gaudí's architectural masterpiece which is a symbol of the city and must-see attraction on every tourist’s list when visiting.

The Old Damm Brewery – Originally known as La Bohemia, this is where Estrella Damm used to be brewed and has played host to over 150,000 different events. It is now a centre for sport, culture, and society and where Messi and more have been awarded the golden boot.

Camp Nou Stadium – Home of FC Barcelona, Damm's partner for over 25 years, representing the synergy of mindsets with a dedication to quality, authenticity, and determination.

The bottles carry four more designs which also commemorate the 150-year anniversary: Barcelona’s iconic beach, the fun festivals the city has become known for, popular gastronomic destination La Boqueria food market, as well as celebratory skyline views.

These designs all celebrate how August Kuentzmann Damm revolutionised European brewing by introducing rice into the recipe in 1876, an innovation to create a lighter, refreshing beer more suited to the climate. With a focus on provenance, quality, and using 100% natural ingredients the legacy continues today with Estrella Damm now brewed at Damm's state-of-the-art Eagle Brewery in Bedford according to the original recipe for the UK market.

This limited-edition collection reflects Damm's approach, based around core pillars of typical culture: sport, gastronomy, and the arts. Through The Damm Foundation, the company supports initiatives in education, cultural programmes, and sport.

To further celebrate, Damm has launched a 150th anniversary competition across retail and hospitality offering 150 prizes for customers to win, including an incredible dream trip to Barcelona to see their beer being produced at the El Prat brewery as well as soaking up other sights the city has to offer alongside its classic culinary delights.

The limited-edition 150th anniversary cans (including 4x440ml, 10x440ml and 10x330ml) and bottles (330ml) are now available at select retailers across the UK and the collection will only be available while stocks last.
