Marqués de Riscal made Rioja what it is today. Up until the 1850s the locals had made only light, young wines. Then, in 1858, Riscal introduced the ‘Bordeaux method’, barrel ageing. From that moment on, the practice became integral to Rioja. Today, Riscal Reserva is one of the most famous wines in Spain. Each grape is selected from vines that are at least 50 years old. Mature vines make the tastiest grapes. So the wine is incredibly rich and concentrated. It’s full of summer-berry flavours and notes of liquorice and vanilla spice. Perfect with jamón.

Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade.
We can also sell the ice to go in a chiller bin, or have it arrive separately - simply contact your local store after placing your order.

Depends on the year. I found 2017 fabulous, stunning to drink now in 2024. I thought 2018 had a bitter aftertaste and returned them. The 2019 it is a nice wine and I hope will get more depth aged for the next two years as I have 12 bottles laid down!

En copa tiene un color rubí intenso, en nariz saltan complejos aromas, frutas negras maduras, roble especiado ligeramente tostado y balsámicos. En boca tiene una buena estructura elegante, rico y redondo con taninos sedosos y acidez bien equilibrada, final largo y agradable

What a disappointment after reading some earlier reviews. Wine was thin, no apparent oak and not as expected. I will be returning the second bottle after Christmas.
