Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr began in Alsace, on the German border of France, in 1954. Their aim was to restore the region’s winemaking industry after it was badly damaged by the German occupation in World War Two. Today, this cooperative consists of 110 members, and it's safe to say they've smashed their initial target. This is a light and fresh Pinot Noir, with flavours of cherry, strawberry, sweet spices and cedar. Try it with turkey or chicken.

Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade.
We can also sell the ice to go in a chiller bin, or have it arrive separately - simply contact your local store after placing your order.

Far too sweet (even for a Gewürztraminer) but curiously also very thin in the mouth. I’ve had lychee martinis which have been less sweet and with more body. Not a good combination. Destined for the sink.

Once opened 15 mins, lovely wine. Slight fizz on the tongue, cherry and blackberry, perfect with a pork and chickpea stew. 9.99 good value mix 6

This is a really good value Pinot Noir. It has a high ABV of 15% so it must be drunk at a low enough temperature so the alcohol doesn’t overwhelm the delicate grape character. We had it at 13-14 deg C and it paired with baked salmon.

This is a really excellent northern Pinot Noir, very much like the reds the Germans in Baden keep to themselves for the most part. Great value for money, easy to drink on its own and goes favourably with roast dinner.
