Some of the best things only come with time. That's certainly the case for Beronia. This was aged for 28 months in oak barrels and three years in the bottle before it was released. It's been mellowing and maturing for four years since – and this gives you that classic Gran Reserva character. This wine has been transformed over time into something incredibly rich, smooth and velvety. Best decanted for an hour before serving with a roast dinner. This wine has won a gold medal at the 2023 IWSC for the 2015 vintage.

Disappointing. I would say that for £20 per bottle this wine is disappointing and poor value. Majestic do a much better Rioja, albeit a more expensive one, namely Vina Ardanza and this one is worth paying more for.

This is a really great! It tastes high quality and expensive! The wine was really rich and fruity, pairs beautifully with a nice meal. Rustic earthy flavour, with some cherry coming through. Smooth and very drinkable. Good value, quick delivery.

Loved this bottle, it delivers a beautifully mature Rioja that balances power and elegance. Deep cherry hues with aromas of dark plumand walnut lead into a rich palate. Complete with a long, velvety finish with subtle echoes of cocoa. It was perfect with a roast lamb dinner, and excellent value for a Gran Reserva of its calibre.

Lovely wine, with a deep colouring and very well balanced. Exactly what I expected from a good Rioja. Would pair well with red meat or a cheeseboard.

This is a superb wine, a great treat. I shared the bottle with family coming over for dinner. The wine has a deep rich flavour with plenty of dark fruit, spice and I also think a hint of chocolate. Perfectly balanced and smooth.
