Lomond's farming practices put the endangered flora of the Cape first. In fact, it’s the first South African winery to enter into a conservation servitude designed to ensure the long-term protection of the unique indigenous fynbos shrubland. It’s also a leader in the Cape Agulhas winemaking region, producing the appellation’s first vintage back in 2007.

Cape Agulhas is the most southernly spot of South Africa. Farming isn’t easy here, thanks to the intense coastal winds and diverse soils; Lomond alone farms across 18 different types. But the resulting fruit is top quality with a unique character and intensity, so it’s clearly worth the effort.
