We promised some surprises in your case – and this Durif, also known as Petite Sirah, is one example. It thrives in the hot continental climate, showing all its lovely notes of black plum, damson, blueberry and spice. The wine’s name comes from owner Andrew Peace: one late summer’s evening he looked out over his Durif vines, and saw them illuminated by a beautiful full moon.
About the producer
Family-owned and operated, Andrew Peace is among the larger Australian producers, but it still maintains a commitment to quality. Their story began in 1981 when Pam and Jim, Andrew’s parents, bought a vineyard as an excuse to escape the city. A little over a decade later Andrew had established a winery and made his first vintage. Now they’re in their third generation and craft over 40 different wine styles.
