An intensely ruby hue conceals aromatics of spice, red and black fruits and notes of toast and oak from time spent ageing in wood. About the producer
A third-generation producer, Lucia Romero Marcuzzi walks the fine line between constant innovation and respecting tradition and terroir. She’s restored 75-year-old Torrontés and Tannat vineyards and experimented by planting Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. As the Cafayate Valley’s reputation continues to grow, she is always finding new expressions of the region.

About the region
At a soaring 1,750m above sea level in north-western Argentina, the Cafayate Valley is one of the highest viticultural areas in the world. While located at the same latitude as Africa’s Kalahari desert, the altitude creates a dramatic shift between sunny day-time and cool night-time temperatures, so grapes ripen perfectly. Historically known for its crisp white wines, it also produces fine reds.
