Pair with tapas
Fantastic beer pairings don’t stop there, if you’d rather grab a hazy IPA, try the Beavertown ‘Lunar Haze’. Like all of Beavertown’s range, this beer features the brilliantly chaotic and unmistakable artwork of artist Nick Dwyer. It’s a fitting tribute to the beer itself – lively, tropical and full of flavour. We suggest pairing with some garlic gambas (prawns).
Or for something a little lighter, the Alhambra Reserva 1925 is a high quality, Spanish beer crafted to perfection. Full-bodied, extra smooth with a rich, highly agreeable taste for the demanding yet discerning palate, suitable for any occasion. A crowd pleaser that matches any light tapas dish.
If you’re trying your hand at some traditional tapas, vinegary or fried boquerones are a must! What could be better than the peachy flavour of the Domaine de Saint Ferréol Viognier to go with them. Made by a couple known for crafting some of Languedoc's best Viognier, this is lush and aromatic. Their wines are reminiscent of Condrieu but come without the usual price tag. This wine is partially fermented and matured in French oak on its lees, giving it a lush complexity.
If California is known for one white grape, it’s Chardonnay. And Josh Cellars makes a version that is well-balanced, delicious and carefully sourced – exactly what you want in a wine for sharing with friends and family - it's especially good with prawns and mussels. The world renowned Nyetimber English sparkling is a go to for elegant gifts, hosting and special moments. Made using the time-honoured traditional method, it’s a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from Nyetimber’s Sussex and Hampshire vineyards. Discover refreshing notes of redcurrant, raspberry and cherry that go especially well with langoustines.
