'Terra' Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

One of Italy’s greatest grapes – Nebbiolo – crafted in its home region of Piedmont. Expect soft aromas of spice and brushwood carrying on to a persistent, savoury mouthful. There’s plenty of tannin here too, which is perfect for pairing with heftier dishes. With so much going on from the moment it’s uncorked, you’ll want to relish every last drop.

About the producer
Established as a cooperative in 1959, Cantina Clavesana is the leading producer of Dolcetto and Dogliani DOCG in the Langhe – but quite clearly, they also turn out a very fine Nebbiolo. Their cellar staff consists of two winemakers, one of whom has been with the winery for 22 years.

About the region
Rooted in calcareous marl soils up to 400 metres above sea level, Cantina Clavesana’s vines are between 20 and 25 years old, so they produce fruit with fabulous concentration and richness. The winery is set in a scenic hilly area of the Langhe, where the vineyards are in fact listed as Unesco World Heritage sites.
