It’s a blend of two lesser-known native grapes – Manzoni Bianco and Traminer – that’s crisp and clean, boasting a savoury and lingering finish that makes you crave the next sip. Tropical fruit, citrus and rosewater aromas are plentiful, but there’s also generous body, ideal for food pairings. We can’t get enough of it.

About the producer
Winemakers since 1940, family-owned Borga blends decades of experience with a fresh crop of young winemakers keen to capture the essence of Veneto’s terroir. They’ve named this bottling after a prominent family member, Emma, and farm their 34 hectares with great respect for the environment. Indigenous cult grapes like Manzoni Bianco are part of their USP.

About the region
Rooted in clay soils, the vineyards that grow Borga’s Manzoni Bianco and Traminer are located in Chiarano, just 20 miles from the Adriatic. This stretch of water moderates the day- and night-time temperatures, and encourages humidity that brings essential rainfall.

Food Pairing
Enjoy this wine with Whole BBQ’d Turbot with Vinegar & Olive Oil. The silky textures of the dish work in tandem with the wine's creamy character. Notes of toasty oak are a delicious complement to the smokiness of the fish.
