About the producer
Deakin Estate – named after Alfred Deakin, Australia’s second prime minister – didn’t make wine at first Founded in the 1960s, they simply grew grapes to sell as fruit until a winery was built in 1980. By the time the Estate Range was launched, the vines had considerable age on them, producing high-quality fruit with serious flavour and expressive varietal quality. New vineyards have since been planted too, creating an interesting mix of grape types and profiles.
