Langlois-Chateau 'Classique' Crémant de Loire Brut
£14.99 Mix Six /£17.99 Single Bottle
Champagne isn’t the only French sparkling around. Great-value Crémant de Loire is made using the same traditional method and comes with its own prestigious history. Langlois-Chateau is the perfect example: they have been producing fizz for more than 130 years and what’s more, they have been owned by the Bollinger family since the 1970s – a sure sign of excellence. This Classique Brut is dominated by Chenin Blanc, the region’s favourite white grape. It’s aged for a minimum of 24 months, creating delicious, complex flavour. It’s rich yet refined with aromas of quince, peach and grapefruit, which lead to a long, fresh finish.
Mezzacorona 'Maso di Mezzo' Pinot Grigio 2021, Trentino DOC
£8.99 Mix Six / £11.99 Single Bottle
Grown in the cool Trentino region in the Italian Alps, this is an example of what Pinot Grigio is capable of when it gets the right care and attention. Mezzacorona go back to Trentino’s roots and grow grapes using traditional pergolas, producing wines to celebrate the region’s rich heritage. Elegant. Floral. Mineral. It’s dry and refreshing – a great pairing for fresh salads and chicken dishes.
Cave de Lugny 'Les Pierres Blanches' Mâcon-Villages 2019/20
£10.99 Mix Six / £12.99 Single Bottle
Cave de Lugny are true specialists. They’re the biggest Chardonnay producer in Burgundy, but they don’t rest on their laurels. Their mission is to make standout white Burgundy which is affordable and delicious. This is made using grapes from 30-year-old vines. Older vines produce more intensely-flavoured grapes and the team dial up this fruitiness by leaving it unoaked. It’s fruity, juicy and refreshing – think citrus, green melon and a touch of honey. The wine spends some time resting on its lees, which gives the texture a delicious creaminess. It’s fantastic with roast chicken..

Pasqua '11 Minutes' Rosé 2020/21, Lake Garda
£11.99 Mix Six / £15.99 Single Bottle
We first stocked this complex, floral rosé in small, limited supply. And the customer reaction was so good, we very soon went back for more. It's made from Corvina, Trebbiano, Syrah and Carménère grapes and left on the skins for exactly 11 minutes (hence the name). This is the optimal time for the wine to develop a delicate rosy hue while retaining a light body. It's elegant and subtly spicy, with plenty of red-fruit flavours. Best with baked white fish, olives and tomatoes.
3 Finger Jack Old Vine Zinfandel
£13.99 Mix Six / £15.99 Single Bottle
In the mid 1800s, thousands flocked to California to chase the gold rush. One treasure-seeker in particular has been elevated to legend status – a bold gunslinger known throughout the region as 3 Finger Jack. The Delicato family, who have crafted wine in California for three generations, created this lively Zinfandel as a homage to him. Lodi is widely hailed as the Zinfandel capital of the world. Perched between San Francisco Bay and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Lodi’s long, sunny days encourage grapes to reach their peak ripeness. The cool nights that follow lock in the rich flavour and help retain a refreshing acidity – producing world-class Zinfandel. Expect complex notes of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, plum, roasted coffee and toasty oak. The smooth tannins and bold, jammy flavours make it a great partner for pulled pork.
Las Veletas Carignan Grenache Mourvedre 2019, Maule Valley
£10.99 Mix Six / £14.99 Single Bottle
Las Veletas, Spanish for windvane, is aptly named due to the cool winds that refresh the vines in the warm summer sun. What started as a fun project to make great wine for family and friends has now become a serious winemaking operation. The creative freedom allowed them to really hone their craft. Now, working with over 300 hectares of vines and 15 different grape varieties, their focus is all about producing low quantities of high quality wines. Discover concentrated notes of blackberry, blackcurrants and violets. Soft tannins and a fresh acidity make it a great food wine. Try it with grilled meats.

£14.99 Mix Six / £21.99 Single Bottle
Pouilly-Fumé is known all over the world for its perfumed, flinty, mineral and distinctly smoky character. Some believe that the region’s unique soils are behind this phenomenon. Its gooseberry and gentle spice flavours and fresh acidity make it a perfect complement for smoked salmon.
Domaine des Maréchaudes Mâcon Villages 2020
£9.99 Mix Six / £12.99 Single Bottle
Looking for a white Burgundy you know will be great? This estate has been making exceptional Chardonnay since 1921. Today, it operates each of its 50 hectares sustainably and harvests the grapes only when they're at their ripest. As a result, this is a superb Mâcon-Villages white. Domaine La Chautarde Rosé 2020/21, Côteaux Varois en Provence
£9.99 Mix Six / £11.99 Single Bottle
Although Provence rosé is replicated the world over, nothing beats the real thing. There's nothing like pale-pink rosé direct from the source. And Côteaux Varois en Provence is one the best places to find it at a pocket-friendly price. This has elegant notes of red fruits hints of herbs. Great with olives.
Château de Pizay Brouilly 2020/21
£11.99 Mix Six / £14.99 Single Bottle
The fantastic wines of Château de Pizay have been delighting the most demanding of Beaujolais fans since the Middle Ages. Pascal Dufaitre has been in charge of winemaking here for more than 30 years. And today, he's as committed to the environment as he is fantastic Gamay. This one is made in Brouilly, a sub-region of Beaujolais where you'll find remarkably fruity reds. It's light and elegant, with flavours of raspberry, strawberry and prune. It's an easy-drinking wine that won't overpower the subtleties of pork.
Two Hands 'Angels' Share' Shiraz 2020/21, McLaren Vale
£14.99 Mix Six / £21.99 Single Bottle
Twenty-one years ago, two men got chatting at a mutual friend’s engagement party. That night, Two Hands was born. Until that point, most Australian wine was sold under regional labels – Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz wanted to change that. Their idea was to make the best possible Shiraz-based wines from the most prized growing regions in Australia. It put all the focus on the fruit, highlighting the differences between the parcels. Angel’s Share was one of their very first wines. This is a serious wine, made with choice grapes from McLaren Vale, just outside Adelaide. It’s incredibly bold and heady – a full on Aussie Shiraz, full of jammy fruit and flavours of cola, coffee and spice. Fresh with fine tannins, it has a lovely silky texture. Ideal with red meat.

Roberto Sarotto 'Campo dell'Olio' Gavi di Gavi 2020/21
£10.99 Mix Six / £16.99 Single Bottle
The Sarotto family settled in Piedmont in the 1700s, and Roberto is the latest generation to turn his hand to this historic winemaking region. This is his interpretation of the region's iconic white wine, known as The Chablis of Italy, Gavi di Gavi. It's made from 100% Cortese grapes on a 2-hectare vineyard and went through a long, cool fermentation process to draw out the grape's signature aromatics. Add a further three months resting on lees, and you're in for a seriously textured wine. Expect floral notes, with hints of pineapple, apricot and peach. Try it with fish tacos.

Estandon Vignerons 'One from Provence' Rosé 2020/21, Coteaux Varois en Provence
£8.99 Mix Six / £10.99 Single Bottle
In 1947, Provençal wine production was all about quantity over quality. But Jean Bagnis wanted to change that. So he began making premium rosé from the very best vineyards and founded Estandon Vignerons. Today, the purpose remains the same, and that certainly shows in this dry, pale pink. Expect floral aromas of stone fruits and citrus peel. Try it with salmon.
Thymiopoulos Xinomavro 2018/19, Greece
£11.99 Mix Six / £14.99 Single Bottle
If you're looking to get into Greek wine, Xinomavro is a great place to start. It's one of Greece's star grapes. Think of it as a delicious cross between Barbaresco and Pinot Noir. This example is made by a man who’s widely recognised as an expert in the art of crafting great Xinomavro. It’s medium-bodied and complex, with notes of red and black fruit, a vibrant acidity and a long finish. Serve with lamb shanks. Saturday Kitchen critic Olly Smith called the 2018 vintage “one of the world’s hidden gems”.
Abbotts & Delaunay ‘Les Fruits Sauvages’ Malbec 2020, Languedoc
£7.99 Mix Six / £10.99 Single Bottle
French Malbec is scarce outside of the South West and the Loire. But Languedoc experts Abbotts & Delaunay uncovered 30-year-old vines amongst their plots in the warm Hérault department. Older vines produce fewer grapes, but they have much greater concentration and complexity. To balance the ripe flavour of these sun-soaked vines, grapes from the cooler Aude department are added to the blend. The result is a bold, fruity red marked by freshness and elegance. Rich. Powerful. Spicy. Discover intense notes of red and black fruits with a hint of liquorice. Just like your favourite bottle of Mendoza, this is excellent with a chargrilled steak.

In 2022, this wine won an IWC award for the 2021 vintage.
Canard-Duchêne Brut Champagne

In 1859, a romance blossomed between barrel maker Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne, a grower’s daughter. Their passion for wine led them to bring their names together to create Maison Canard-Duchêne just eight years later. Their brut Champagne uses twice as much Pinot Noir as Chardonnay to create a rich and structured wine with complex aromatics. It’s deliciously briochey with a real richness of flavour. Château Minuty 'M de Minuty' Rosé 2020/21, Côtes de Provence
£11.24 Mix Six / £14.99 Single Bottle
30 years ago, Minuty started making a new style of rosé, based on freshness above all else. These new, incredibly pale rosés became the benchmark for today’s most popular style of rosé – herbal and refreshing Provence pink. And Minuty is still the gold standard. Not only are they one of the very last châteaux in Provence to pick their grapes by hand, they’re also one of only 18 châteaux to be designated Cru Classé (the best of the best). It’s fresh and full of white peach and grapefruit. The taste of an idyllic summer's evening that’s a dream with a Niçoise salad.
Zuccardi 'Q' Malbec 2019/20, Mendoza
£13.99 Mix Six / £15.99 Single Bottle
Alberto Zuccardi created the Zuccardi winery in 1963, when he planted his first vines in Mendoza. Fast forward to present day, and his first plantings have transformed into what was named number one at The World's Best Vineyard Awards in 2020. Not to mention, Sebastián, the third generation of the family, is one of South America's finest winemakers. This is a chance for you to taste what the fuss is about. The Q stands for quality, as the fruit is sourced from Mendoza's finest spot. Try its notes of blackcurrant, cherry and roses with a sirloin steak. In 2022, this wine won an IWC award for the 2021 vintage.

Chateau De Berne Rose
£11.99 Mix Six / £16.99 Single Bottle
Château de Berne has perfected its style of Provence rosé over three centuries. You'll know you're in for something truly unmistakable when you spot this distinct square bottle. Taste the experience in ripe flavours of red berries and a fresh, refreshing finish.

Bread & Butter Pinot Noir California
£9.99 Mix Six / £15.99 Single Bottle
Bread & Butter is that thing that you can count on. It’s dependable, comforting – you know what to expect. That’s exactly what you’ll get with this wine, a textbook Californian Pinot Noir from the same winery which brought you the sell-out Bread & Butter Chardonnay. Their vineyards are ideally located for classic varieties like Pinot. It’s sun-drenched, but cooled by the daily morning mists which roll in off the Pacific. It’s exactly the sort of position that pernickety Pinot thrives in. This deliciously silky wine proves our point. It’s all about red fruit. Cherries. Raspberries. Cranberries. It’s seriously juicy and seriously delicious, with a nice fullness which is classic California. Oak ageing gives it a touch of cedary spice, and woody herb notes. Perfect with roast mushrooms.

Catena Malbec Argentina
£11.99 Mix Six / £13.99 Single Bottle
Nicolás Catena was the first South American winemaker to ever be named ‘Decanter’s Man of the Year’. No wonder when he pioneered high-altitude Malbec in the Argentine Andes. Before that, Argentina was only seen as a producer of cheap bulk wine. The Catena’s changed all that. Nicolás’ great-grandfather, Nicola, planted his first Malbec vines in 1902. Since then, the family have amassed a collection of Malbec varietals which are exclusive to them. It makes the Catena’s wines completely distinct from other Argentine Malbecs. Bold. Ripe. Fruity. It’s a big wine with lots of flavour – and a lovely plush texture. It’s crying out for grilled meats – think barbecued steak with a punchy chimichurri sauce. Delicious.

Marques Riscal Rueda Verdejo 2020
£8.99 Mix Six / £10.99 Single Bottle
Since it was founded in 1858, Marqués de Riscal has been one of Spain's most inventive wineries. They were the first to create fresh, fruity Verdejo in the Rueda region. They also make it from older vines (30 years old) than many of the other estates. As older vines nourish the tastiest grapes, you can rest assured that you're in for a real treat. This is smooth, fresh and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, verbena and freshly cut grass. Try it with shellfish.

Diemersdal Gruner Veltliner 2021, S Africa 2020
£7.99 Mix Six / £11.99 Single Bottle
This unmissable wine is made by the talented team at Diemersdal Estate. It’s the very first Grüner Veltliner to be produced in South Africa, making it a great meeting of the Old and New Worlds. It's characteristically mineral and fresh with the unique charm of bright melon and lime notes, gifted by the Cape Town sunshine. Partner with fine anchovies and garlic-rubbed toast.
Pesquie Edition 1912m 2019 Ventoux
France
£10.99 Mix Six / £12.99 Single Bottle
Mont Ventoux is known as the Giant of Provence. It’s long been the toughest stretch of the Tour de France, but it’s also home to the coolest microclimate in the Southern Rhône. Lower temperatures here allow the grapes to ripen slowly and become much more aromatic – showing a more delicate side to the classic red Rhône blend. We picked up a small parcel of this last year and the reception was so good, we jumped at the chance to get another vintage. Expect notes of violet, red fruits, garrigue herbs and a kick of pepper. The silky texture and fine tannins will complement roast chicken and lentils perfectly.

Errazuriz's Max range is named after their founder, Don Maximiano Errázuriz, who started the winery all the way back in 1870. He noticed the amazing potential of the terroir in the Aconcagua Valley, and was the first to plant French varieties there. His risk paid off. Today, Errazuriz is regarded as a world-class winery. We think this wine is a fitting tribute. It's a rich Cabernet-dominated blend, with a dash of Petit Verdot and Syrah for good measure. Peyrassol 'Réserve des Templiers' Rosé 2020/21, Côtes de Provence
£9.99 Mix Six /£13.99 Single Bottle
Peyrassol was established in the 12th century by the Knights Templar. Today, it’s the hub of a very different kind of pilgrimage – of wine lovers to one of the finest and most beautiful vineyards in all of Provence. Because the vineyards are at a higher altitude, there’s a perfect balance between warm daytime and cool night-time temperatures to make the grapes incredibly aromatic. Perfect for rosé. It’s peachy and herbal – a heady distillation of the hills where it’s grown. With a wonderful citrusy edge, it’s really refreshing – but it’s also full-bodied. Ideal with salty foods, like olives.

Coup de Tête Beaujolais Blanc 2020
£9.99 Mix Six / £12.99 Single Bottle
Beaujolais is best known for light, floral reds made from the Gamay grape. But there's a small amount of white wine made here too. The region is south of Burgundy, and it has a marginally warmer climate. As a result, this Chardonnay is gloriously ripe. Think flavours of fresh peach, apricot, citrus and pear. Try it with white fish.

Pringle Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Western Cape
£6.99 Mix Six / £9.99 Single Bottle
Pringle Bay is different from other Sauvignon Blancs. Because Sauvignon specialists Duncan Savage and Thys Louw source most of their grapes from coastal spots that are cooled by Atlantic breezes. The rest come from Paardeberg, which is renowned for its tropical-fruit flavours. As a result, this is a wonderfully fresh wine, with notes of pineapple, passionfruit and grapefruit and a long, refreshing finish. Best with fish and chips.

Luis Felipe Edwards Gran Reserva Merlot 2019/20, Colchagua Valley
£7.99 Mix Six / £9.99 Single Bottle
If you love big, bold reds, Colchagua Valley will be your paradise. It’s sandwiched between the Andes and the Coastal Mountain Range, with an arid climate which is too much for the delicate skin of white grapes – but is perfect to slowly ripen red grapes, intensifying the flavours. Luis Felipe Edwards’ vineyards are at a particularly high-altitude, 900 meters above sea level, which creates a slightly cooler micro-climate. Ideal conditions for Merlot. Fresh. Fruity. It’s got incredible intensity from ripening in the Colchagua sun. Think strawberry, black cherry and cassis. A lovely ripe, velvety texture complements this moreish fruitiness. Ideal with roast beef.
