James Uden Store Manager

James joined us from Waitrose, where he spent 18 years. He brings with him a wealth of retail experience. Qualified at WSET Level 2 and currently studying for his Level 3. His favourite wine is the Mollydooker 'The Boxer' Shiraz. James loves big red wines usually from Australia and the USA, so if you're looking for recommendations look around the store for his 'James Loves' neck tags or talk to him personally!

Jackson McLean Sales Assistant/Driver

Jackson is our Driver, you'll likely see him on your doorstep with your latest wine purchase.

Ryan Courtier Assistant Manager

Oh Hi... Ryan brings with him an artistic approach to all things Majestic. He's a keen artist and if you ask him he will tell you all about it. Ryan loves silky red wines and his current favourite is the Chilean Merlot from Montes. A cherry bomb of a wine with very silky tannic structure, beautiful on it's own or great with rare lamb cutlets.

Mark Stephens Sales Assistant

Mark used to work at a high level in the Post Office and brings with him a huge amount of experience. He's a keen swimmer and if you ask him he will tell you all about it. Mark loves both red and white wines. A few of his favs are the Il Borgo Gavi and the 3 Finger Jack Zinfandel.

Paul Pizzey Sales Assistant

Paul used to work in communications, specifically I.T, he saw the modern era of internet communications first hand and brings with him a huge amount of experience. Paul enjoys wine with food and pairs most of his meals with his favourite bottles. One of Paul's favourtie wines is the Alain Grignon Reserve Carignan. A store fav this is a bargain and must try wine a just £10 on the mix 6!

This review is way overdue, but I still felt that I should post it. I bought a box of wine online back in May. After opening the first bottle I realised that it was not to my liking at all. I called Majestic and spoke to a very friendly, helpful assistant, who told me to bring the box back, including the one I had opened and had actually thrown away, for a complete refund or swap. When I arrived at the store, they knew exactly who I was and what my issue was. I chose a mixed case of wine and left feeling very grateful and more than happy With such great service. Thank you Majestic.

Just been into the store and had fantastic service!!

Totally forgot to take the guys name, but he made us so welcome and offered loads of advice on the wines we tasted and purchased.

I’m sure he’s new at the branch, but he totally deserves a staff of the month award or whatever the company awards!!!

True star and brilliant a compliment to the team, who have always impressed us with their service and knowledge.

Keep up the good work and we will be back soon!!!

Blind Tasting/Quiz in store on Saturday November 19th 7pm-9pm. Tickets are £10 and include a glass of fizz on arrival and your samples for the blind tasting. Please email or phone us to book your place :)

We will be closed for the Bank Holiday

All our stores will not be opening this Monday for the Bank Holiday, and to allow our colleagues to pay their respects.

We will also not be delivering on this day.

You can still shop or place a collection order until 5pm on Sunday. We will be back open, as usual, on Tuesday 20th September.

Everyone at Majestic wishes to pass their best wishes to the Royal Family at this time.

Are you interested in learning more about Champagne? On Friday 30th September, Store Manager Chloe is running a Champagne masterclass from 6pm. We will be tasting the entire range of the Cattier Champagnes and teaching you all there is to know about fizz! Please call or email the store to purchase your ticket (£20 a head).

This weekend, this store will be closing early on Sunday at 2pm, and reopening again on Monday at 10am. This is for an annual Majestic colleague event – to give our teams a well deserved break and celebration.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can still place orders for collection via our Shop Local function on the Majestic website, and if placed before 10am on Sunday collect before we close. Alternatively we will process and prepare all orders as soon as possible upon our reopening on Monday.

We were most impressed with James at the Sanderstead branch when we called by to make some preliminary enquiries about hiring glasses. James was polite, approachable and well informed about the range of wines.
