Never understood the fuss? Come in and surprise yourself!
There is the Wynn's Estate Shiraz Coonawarra which is a bargain if you like Northern Rhone/lighter Syrah such as Crozes Hermitage or St Joseph, but for 9.99.
And the Gnarly Dudes Barossa Valley Shiraz from Two Hands, the archetypal Aussie Shiraz style.
The star wine this week is the single vineyard Wakefield's St Andrew's Shiraz 2016 Clare Valley.

Fans of Nyetimber, I still have the 'Classic Cuvee' at £27.99 mix 6 (Usually £37 - and over £100 in some local restaurants.) It is the original English Sparkling wine that is a real Champagne beater.
I also have what I think is their finest bottle, the Cuvee Cherie. It is a Blanc de Blancs demi-sec, that ages for 5 years during secondary fermentation, not too sweet, with flavours of lemon curd, baked apple and Scottish shortbread. Great with a slice carrot or coffee walnut cake after dinner, or strong cheeses.

The star of mid week was our ne Cremant de Jura at £13.49, a pinot noir lead wine that is reminiscent of Bollinger Champagne.
Aleks' pick of the sale is the wonderful Quartet, a Californian fizz made of barrel fermented Chardonnay and Pinot Noir made by Champagne icons, Roederer. It is rich and full bodied, great for the incoming cold at only £22.49, down from £29.99 when you mix 6 and save.
