Unlike European winemakers who can be limited by strict traditions, Australian producers cherry-pick from influences as they choose. This aromatic Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat blend is inspired by the whites that winemaker Dean Hewitson enjoyed on his travels to the Mediterranean coast. Rich in melon, pear and citrus aromas, and with hints of tropical fruit, it is clean and fresh with good natural acidity.
About the producer
One of the most talented winemakers of his generation, Dean Hewitson spent 25 years perfecting his trade before setting up in Adelaide. Having worked abroad and learned the value of old-vine fruit, he often sources grapes from unirrigated pre-phylloxera vines in the Barossa. Hewitson is passionately committed to environmental sustainability, running the winery on solar energy and recycling the water used in cleaning.
