Mark has worked at Majestic for eleventy years in many of the warehouses in the south-east of England. He is a proud holder of the WSET Diploma in wines and spirits. He does not have a favourite wine as such (variety is the spice of life after all!) but currently loves Italian reds, German and Austrian whites and Champagne to sip during his reflections on the works of Plato, Descartes and Aristotle. Mark's latest skill is he can perfectly joint a chicken into 8 pieces. Mark is now into mushrooming and knows his Chanterelle from his Death Cap (thankfully)
Mark hails from the beautiful Central Otago region in New Zealand and funnily enough his favourite wine is Pinot Noir from.......Central Otago!
Paul has recently joined us from the Sonning store. His passions are Bordeaux, Rioja and Australian reds, Champagnes and he especially likes his whiskies, particularly those from Ireland from whence he hails.
Alf joins us after a stint in the Bishop Stortford store. He apparently wants a break from the rumbles of planes landing at Stansted Airport in favour of those coming in to Heathrow. Alf loves wines from Italy, Portugal and South Africa. He also thinks Loire Valley wines are delicious and really enjoys the breadth of styles. He is geeky about wine and food pairing and is an expert when it comes to matches with cheeses and desserts.
