Hampton Water Rosé: when wine meets music

How it started

Hampton Water Rosé began as a vision of legendary rockstar Jon Bon Jovi and his son Jesse. They wanted to create their own rosé wine that captured the spirit of the Hamptons – a cluster of picturesque seaside towns in New York state that have long been popular holiday spots for the rich and famous.

All they needed was to find the perfect winemaker to help bring their idea to life – and in French icon Gérard Bertrand, they found it.

Once an international rugby player, Gérard is now one of the most recognisable names in Languedoc winemaking. He shares Jon and Jesse’s passion for great wine and great music. So along with his celebrated expertise, the Frenchman was just what the pair were looking for.

And in 2018, Hampton Water was born.

How it’s made

Meticulous attention to detail is needed to craft a premium rosé wine. And that’s just what goes into making Hampton Water.

It’s a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes from some of the Languedoc region’s best sites. The grapes are harvested separately at the peak of their individual ripeness, to ensure the best expression of each variety’s unique character. In the winery, only the highest quality juice from the first press is used, and it’s bottled early to preserve the wine’s fresh, fruity flavours.

All that effort has paid off – Hampton Water Rosé has seen success from its very first vintage. A true testament to its quality, it’s been awarded 90+ points by Wine Spectator magazine for five years in a row.

How it tastes

This is everything you could want in a premium southern French rosé wine: pale, dry and elegant with flavours of red berries and citrus, plus a touch of spice. Its refreshing, mineral finish makes it a dream with goat’s cheese, seafood or fresh fruit.

True to Jon and Jesse’s original vision, Hampton Water Rosé embodies the spirit shared by both the Hamptons and the south of France – that life is to be enjoyed, just like a good bottle of wine shared with friends.
