This year, we’re raising a glass to the customers, producers and colleagues who’ve made Majestic what it is today. Our 45th birthday isn’t just a milestone moment – it’s a celebration of the stories behind each glass, producers that have been with us since day one, and special memories we’ve shared with you. Every bottle opened, every barbecue stocked, every Friday night or wedding toast has been part of the journey.
What makes Majestic different – then and now?
Since the very beginning, Majestic has stood for discovery. We don’t just sell wine – we help you find your wine. That might mean talking to one of our in-store experts, getting recommendations through our Wine Club, or locking in your go-to bottle online at a guaranteed price. However you shop with us, we’re here to make great wine accessible, enjoyable and exciting.
We’ve always believed that wine should be something to explore, not just something to pick off a shelf. That’s why we were one of the first retailers to launch online back in 2000, and why we created our own benchmark ranges like Definition by Majestic. It’s why we reduced our minimum purchase from 12 bottles all that time ago in 2010 – and why we launched Lock It In, giving you more flexibility than ever to enjoy the wines you love at the best possible price.
Our buyers taste thousands of wines every year – rigorously, blindly, and with the help of Jane Masters MW, one of just 415 Masters of Wine in the world. Every bottle has to earn its place on our shelves. And whether that’s a brilliant benchmark, a rare find or something totally new, we make sure it’s worth talking about.
A birthday that’s all about you
To mark our 45th, we’ve created two exclusive Birthday Blends inspired by the bottles you love most – a bright, zesty Sauvignon Blanc and Gros Manseng white and a rich, food-friendly blend of Cabernet and Syrah. They’ve been blended by our team of buyers based on your feedback, your favourites and your tastes.
