The Catena winery is a family business and has been a name in Argentinian wine for four generations. The D.V. Catena wines were named in honour of Domingo V. Catena, the father of the current owner Nicolas Catena.
The grapes used for this wine have been specially sourced from exceptional parcels of fruit offering a wine of unique character and balance.
A complex and fruit driven palate with tones of spice and vanilla.
This is a great, full-flavoured wine perfect with winter casseroles or a rare steak.

This is an exciting blend of five different grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Viognier. While being predominantly Syrah, each variety adds its personality to the wine. The grapes come from several specially selected blocks of vines on the estate. They are then fermented and aged in old French oak.
There is an elegantly smooth palate of cassis, blackberry, coffee and chocolate. This is a wonderfully rich wine and would be best paired with steak or game.
