Winegrowers of Ara was founded in 2002, the estate lies on the confluence of the Wairau & Waihopai rivers. These rivers are now synonymous with top quality New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Terraced vineyards reach from the river deep into the hills. Winegrowers of Ara have shown a commitment to higher density planting, lower yields & a gradual move away from irrigation. Their first vintage was 2005 and since then the wine have begun to shine.

Ripe with aromas of grapefruit, guava and minerailty which is expressed as a hint of stone. The palate exudes peaches, apricot and grapefruit with a rich, concentrated mouth feel and wonderfully clean, crisp finish. Showcasing an elegant control, this is a remarkably well balanced and subtle version of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

The De Morgenzen winery is Located in the upper reaches of Stellenboschkloof in Stellenbosch. Terraced vineyards are dotted along sweeping hills, mountains rise from the rear and both the Indian and Atlantic oceans are a stones throw away. This provides a remarkably temperate climate for the region and wonderful wine growing conditions.

With over 350 years of wine making tradition the De Morgenzen Winery showcase excellent South African Wines. The DMZ Syah is harvested from De Morgenzen's young vines which are grown on granite rich soil. The hand picked grapes are fermented in stainless steel before spending 11 months in French Oak.

On the nose this wine expresses aromas of tobacco, plum and hints of cinnamon spice. The palate is rich and velvety smooth and exudes plum and blackcurrant with a smokey note creeping into the finish.
