Gavi is often referred to as the “Chablis of Italy” due to its gentle aromatics and floral notes, as well as its whistle-clean finish. This wine is made by La Zerba, a family-owned winery since 1973. It was then that is was bought by Ida Cozzio and Livio Lorenzi. They’ve since pioneered organic production in the region, and the results have been spectacular – year after year, they produce wines of excellent quality that are often recommended by some of the world’s favourite wine publications. The wine is fermented at a low temperature to retain all those precious characteristics. It then spends 12 months on its lees – a careful practice that results in enhancing a wine’s texture and integrating its flavours beautifully. A winning partner for fresh pesto pasta.

Majestic offers free chiller bin* loan for customers purchasing wine from us.

Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade.
We can also sell the ice to go in a chiller bin, or have it arrive separately - simply contact your local store after placing your order.
