Laurent Delaunay is the fifth generation of a family with a rich winemaking history. In an innovative step, he acquired La Métairie in 2015 – a high-altitude Languedoc vineyard, just a stone’s throw from Limoux. With vast experience of creating top Burgundian cuvées, he was determined to bring the same standards to new territory – and he succeeded. The 2019 vintage won a silver medal at the International Wine Challenge 2021. It has delicate floral notes and delicious red-berry flavours. Its freshness is highlighted by aromas of ginger, liquorice and white pepper. Enjoy this with roast lamb.

FREE CHILLER BINS HIRE

Majestic offers free chiller bin* loan for customers purchasing wine from us.

Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade.
We can also sell the ice to go in a chiller bin, or have it arrive separately - simply contact your local store after placing your order.
