Orange peel, honey, medicinal herbs – this intensely aromatic white wine made from hand-harvested Xarel-lo grapes is essentially the Penedès landscape captured in a bottle. It’s been aged with its skins in French oak barrels to build complexity and character, leading to a finished wine with gorgeous volume and length. As if that’s not enough, it’s organic too. The perfect pairing for strong cheeses, baked meats or rich vegetable dishes.


About the producer
There’s a lot of trailblazing Spanish wine producers out there, but Albet i Noya have one major brag: they’re officially the first organic wine producer in Spain, pioneering the practice since 1978. More than 40 years later they remain rooted in sustainability, while simultaneously championing technology and innovation.



About the region
The Xarel-lo grapes for this wine are grown 400 metres above sea level in the Ordal mountains, within the acclaimed Penedès region. With the reliable sunshine and cooling influences from the nearby Balearic Sea, in many ways this is the quintessential Mediterranean climate. White grapes like Xarel-lo thrive here – further inland they might not retain such freshness.
