Louis Latour Macon-Lugny £8.99 (mix six price)Date published: 26/05/16
Flavours: Apple, Citrus
Origin: The family-run négociant house of Maison Louis Latour has been producing and selling wines since 1797. The limestone-rich soils of the Lugny village produce rich, buttery yet still Burgundian styles of Chardonnay with the typicity and style of the Mâcon.
Taste: Pale gold in colour, with a beguiling aroma of fresh apples, lemon curd and toasted citrus fruits atop a palate of fresh and crisp green-apple acidity, buttery and peachy fruit and a long, warming finish.
Enjoy: Perfectly acceptable on its own as an afternoon apéritif or with poultry, pork and or with fresh seafood.

Mud House Wines was started in 1996, and is a producer focused on sustainable viticulture. Just over half the fruit for this wine is sourced from their own Woolshed vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley, with the remainder sourced from partner growers.
"This is something of a benchmark Kiwi sauvignon with lively, fresh fruit to the fore, including grapefruit, lemons and pears. It’s crisp, dry and goes well with food."Sunday Express – Jamie Goode – 21st June 2015

Ned Sauvignon Blanc at £6.99!Date published: 23/03/16
Great wine at a great price.
Oeil de PerdrixDate published: 10/02/16
Named after the colour of the partridge's eye, this good-value pink champagne has long been popular for its very pale, coppery hue and light, crisp, biscuity style. Coming from the Cotes des Bars in the south of France, the Pinot Noir grapes give it an interesting level of ripeness. While being delicate in style it has a great balance in fruitiness and generating biscuity notes as it matures.

What we're tasting today...
Meet the team...
Adam ManagerMy Majestic career has taken me to the Peterborough, Stevenage and St Albans, I now find myself here is Welwyn! Mainly a red wine fan, in particular Italian and Spanish, with a passion for the wine of Ribera del Duero! On the white front, I have recently been enjoying White Burgundy.
Maz Assistant ManagerI'm very excited to be brought into the brand new store in Welwyn Garden City. Plying my trade previously in Amersham and Stevenage, the Majestic adventure brings me to this bustling hub of sophistication that is Welwyn. I do love a good drop of Rioja Reserva and am particularly fond of an oaked Chardonnay.
Lee Trainee ManagerBeing new to Majestic I'm very excited in my new career journey here. Having previously worked as a bar manager in a village Gastro-Pub I have a little insight in some wines but the oppotunity to experience the whole spectrum wine has to offer is something I'm looking forward to. As a meat lover nothing is better than a big steak with a bottle of Malbec.
