In fact, it’s so small that the region’s 700 growers have formed a single cooperative – Beato Bartolomeo Breganze. If Pinot Grigio is a must for your wine rack, then this one is a first-rate choice. Abbotts & Delaunay 'Les Fleurs Sauvages' Viognier 2019/20, Languedoc

If you love rich, fragrant white wines then this an absolute must-try. It’s rare to find impressive Condrieu-like flavour that’s also such great value. Winemaker Laurent Delauney knows how to get the very best out of the sun-drenched vineyards in the shadow of the Pyrenees. The sun here concentrates the flavours in their grapes to incredible intensity. The wine is then aged in barrel on its lees, giving it a moreish, creamy texture. Expect plenty of lush apricot and peach flavour, with notes of almond and sweet ginger spice. Aromatic Viognier complements spicy foods brilliantly, so try this with chilli prawns with creamy yoghurt. In 2022, this wine won an IWC award for the 2020 vintage.

Alamos Chardonnay 2020/21, Mendoza

Alamos has more than 100 years of experience and is one of the biggest names in Mendoza. They specialise in winemaking at lofty Andean heights, and this Chardonnay is made up to 5,000 feet above sea level. Here, intense sunlight and cool evening temperatures transform into pristine flavours. Think tropical fruits, vanilla and sweet spices that are best with fish cakes.

Pringle Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Western Cape

Pringle Bay is different from other Sauvignon Blancs. Because Sauvignon specialists Duncan Savage and Thys Louw source most of their grapes from coastal spots that are cooled by Atlantic breezes. As a result, this is a wonderfully fresh wine, with notes of pineapple, passionfruit and grapefruit and a long, refreshing finish. Best with fish and chips. FREE CHILLER BINS HIRE

Majestic offers free chiller bin* loan for customers purchasing wine from us.

Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade.
We can also sell the ice to go in a chiller bin, or have it arrive separately - simply contact your local store after placing your order.

Beware all vegans! Although this is described as vegan, their Abbotts & Delauney Viognier 2020 is not listed as such. I advised Majestic and they said they would amend it. They have not. Either it is or it isn't. Avoid if it matters to you.
