Fleshy and robust, full of ripe black fruit accented with hints of mocha, smoke and toast. Plenty of fine-grained tannins providing prodigious grip and savoury texture. Best with beef.
An incredibly rich, powerful, full-bodied 1988, that will remind you of the 1975 vintage, it shows classic St-Julien notes of blackcurrant, cedar, lead pencil and superb concentration and length.
This wine has a soft, fleshy and ample feel, combining soft bramble and ripe plum flavours with smooth tannins. Subtle cedar and leaf aromas complete the picture.
