The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is Poliziano's flagship wine, where they own a significant proportion (120 hectares) of the DOCG's vineyards. The clone of Sangiovese used here (called Prugnole Gentilo) produces one of Tuscany's most celebrated wines. Full bodied, with ripe plum, blackberry and dark cherry with added layers of complexity such as dried herbs and vanilla. Perfect oak integration balances the firm tannins with the fruit character. Drinking well now, this wine oozes quality and will work well with red meat, stews or rich pasta sauces.

We have a wide selection of fine wines available in our network of stores across the UK. You can also order exclusive fine wines online that are stored at our temperature controlled Fine Wine Centre in St John's Wood, London. If a wine is labelled 'Special Distribution' we will send it via courier from the Fine Wine Centre to your local Majestic before your delivery can be completed. This allows you to choose from a much greater range of fine wine, but does mean delivery may take a few days longer than usual.
