Jim Barry purchased this 70-acre vineyard from Duncan McRae Wood in 1964, and planted his first Shiraz vines here, in a prime location within Clare Valley. This single-vineyard Shiraz spends 14 months in American and French oak and has immense depth of character. The result is a wine displaying spicy aromas of dried plum, blackberry, liquorice and cinnamon. With rich and concentrated black fruit on the palate and smooth, velvety tannins. A mature wine, this is a rare example of a late-release Shiraz. Drink now and over the next couple of years with hearty casseroles.

You can also order exclusive fine wines online that are stored at our temperature controlled Fine Wine Centre in St John's Wood, London. This allows you to choose from a much greater range of fine wine, but does mean delivery may take a few days longer than usual.
