Consistently good value
This is probably the best value Cali Zinfandel available in the UK at the moment. Not exactly refined, powerful and fruit driven, but supple. This may be a little over extracted for some tastes, but this is a perfect match for pepperoni/meaty pizza, or perhaps the matches at Euro2012? Drink now, it won't get any better.

Drinking really well right now
This carmenere really is a bit of a steal at £9.99 (if you buy two) and even justifies the higher price tag if you don't. Bold red fruit flavours are immediately evident with a generous portion of pepper; at first red pepper and then white peppercorn, rounded out with some soft, soft tannins. The fruit is the star here, and its drinking very well right now, but I don't think its a keeper. Buy it to take to some summer barbecues, and you won't be disappointed.

Good example of Chilean cabernet
Jammy red fruit with a vanilla smokiness from the oak, smooth and very drinkable even this young. Decanting really opens up this wine. so its worth doing if possible, but it still drinks well straight out of the bottle if you can't. The alcohol is a little bit hot, but considering the price this is a good cabernet. It'll go really well with steaks on the barbecue over the summer.

Very delicate Chardonnay
A cool climate Chardonnay which is very delicate but shows some complexity, and with just a faintest hint of oak. This wine would go well with scallops or other white fish dishes, but unfortunately I found it just a little bland and underwhelming.

A pleasant surprise
I'm not usually a big fan of Rose, but my wife is, and when she poured me a glass of this I was pleasantly surprised. A lovely aperitif wine, not too dissimilar to an off-dry Riesling or a floral Viognier.

Not bad, just not great either
This is a pleasant enough Pinot Noir, but for the price I was expecting a bit more. For me this wine lacked any excitement and wasn't memorable.
