Margaux is the most famous Bordeaux village being shared with its eponymous first growth, Château Margaux.
From an estate previously under the same ownership as Château Margaux, this is a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, barrel-aged for 20 months in old and new oak.
One of the real gems of the vintage, the 1994 Rauzan Ségla has a rich palate with great definition and structure. Drink it over the next 5 - 8 years.
Described by Jancis Robinson at a tasting alongside other top 1999s as "Interestingly racy nose. Lovely texture..." 18/20, Jancis Robinson
