Origin
The Mendoza region is Argentina's most important wine growing region. Planted at an altitude of between 600 and 1,100 metres above sea level, in the shadow of the Andes. Mendoza's Alluvial soils and complex irrigation systems account for 70% of Argentina's production.
Taste
Deep ruby coloured with hints of opulent, rich raspberries and cherries, plums and spice. The palate is laden with generous lashings of fruit, redcurrants and spice with a smooth and warming finish.
Enjoy
The fruity style of the wine works very well with pasta dishes and red meats. Best enjoyed over the next 18 months.

    Lovely everyday red

    Not usually a merlot drinker, but this is a wonderful, smooth and flavoursome red for the price. One of our favourites.

    One to try

    I bought this based on the recommendations of previous reviews, and was very happy that I did. Full of fruit, smooth, and well worth £4.69.

    Can't go wrong drink, cook, punches

    This is one of those table reds I have been buying for years and years. You just cannot go wrong with it, no need for any excuses to open a bottle and tip a pag bol

    Esperanza Merlot

    Deliciously clean and stunningly fruity wine, the fruit thankfully untouched by overtones of oak or old leather! Really delicious on its own or with food. Impossible not to like. Super value when on offer at £3.99 and even at £4.99 well worth the money. Bordeaux eat your heart out!
