A lovely sweet wine, similar in taste to mead. Goes well with chinese food, and all pudding dishes. The price is excellent for this lovely wine and was enjoyed by all at my dinner party. I will be buying more of this wine and will put some away for Xmas. Loved it!!

Dessert wines can be very sweet and very "cooked". This one, however, is rich, medium sweet without excess sugar, complex taste in the melon, peach and honey range, but without the sultana taste that restricts some dessert wines to biscuits and cake. Good alcohol level and some tannin makes it go well with main-course food; I personally find it superb with Thai food where its complexity matches the food and it is good with dishes that are even 5-chilis on the spice Richter scale. Lovely colour too; I served it in Lalique glass on a mahogany table; looks aren't the only feature to think about with wine but the colour is stunning in the right setting. Price is jolly good; comparable with French wines in the £20 bracket. The intensity of taste means a ½ bottle gives the satisfaction that you might get from a full bottle of Gewurztraminer, so a splendidly decadent step towards healthy living.
Gorgeous, delicate, peachy (2012 Vintage)
"Chile has produced some ridiculously cheap stickies and this gorgeous, delicate, peachy, grapey wine gets my winter 2012 vote. (Jane MacQuitty, The Times, 3rd November)"
