Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray had a vision in 1989 to transform the face of Chilean winemaking, and these pioneers have done exactly that, by bringing modern winemaking techniques to a traditional country. This Merlot is matured for 6 months in American oak.
Taste
Punchy flavours of raspberry and blackberry combine well with a spicy edge which is typical of this grape. A small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon gives this wine good structure and balance.
Enjoy
This wine will drink well over the next 3-4 years, try with herbed lamb chops for an interesting food match.
