Grape

Carmenère

Origin
Sourced from our vineyards in the Valle de Aconcagua. This region features a Mediterranean climate. From hand picked grapes, fermented in stainless steel and aged in French and American oak barrels.
Taste
On the palate, this medium-bodied wine is structured by big, mouth-filling tannins. Spicy notes linger on the palate, with hints of dark chocolate and coffee, through the long, pleasant finish.
Enjoy
Enjoy with a perfectly grilled rib eye steak.

    Excellent value for money Errazuriz

Bright purple, black pepper and tobacco ‘cigar box’ nose. Rich and tannic, good now but needs another year. Damsons and stewed fruit on the palate. Very clean and well made, delicious, excellent VFM. Winemaker Francisco Baettig comes up trumps again. I hate to think how much you'd have to pay to get this quality in the Old World. 16.5 / 20

    Excellent Carmenere

I was recommended the Carmenere and tried a few from Majestic, but the Errazuriz is definitely the best of the bunch with the Casiller del Diablo being a close second ... but when the Errazuriz is on special it is time to stock up .. Rich chocolatey flavours ...

    Erra Carmenere

Great wine, really quite original for this price. Its only a quid more expensive than some really quite shoddy Chilean Carmeneres that can be obtained, but its in a totally different league, you have to love those chocolate subtleties of carmenere. Good 'ol Errazuriz come up trumps again.

    Dense and weighty

This is a wine thick with fruit and alcohol. It lacks complexity, but plays its single note forcefully - a bit like a band led by its bass guitar! Very hard to drink a lot of.

    excellent

A very smooth wine, full of flavour with no 'edge'.

    Fantastic price

I was really pleased with this wine. Thought I'd try something different so went for a carmenere and wasn't disappointed. Full bodied and a little bit of spice. Yum!
