Cono Sur's Single Vineyard wines are a homage to the diversity of appellations Chile provides. This Viognier is from alluvial and gravelly soils complemented by a temperate climate. 60% of the final blend is aged in oak for 6 months, while the rest uses stainless steel.
Taste
Delicate white peach and orange blossom nose, following onto a ripe but fresh, pure palate of apricots and vanilla. Elegant with a balanced acidity and pleasing mineral finish.

    Trying too hard

    No balance no finesse. Claggy & "chemically".

    Great new world Viognier

    Viognier is not a grape variety that travels well so I was very happy to have found this example which has all the hallmarks of the grape but at a fraction of the price for a basic Condrieau. Well done Cono Sur!
