Produced exclusively for Majestic, this Merlot comes from a single block of vines within the Mariposas Vineyard. Influenced by the Andes Mountains to the East and the Pacific Ocean, with a Mediterranean climate, the site has high day/night temperature variations.
Taste
Ripe plum, cassis, bitter cherry and earthy aromas lead to a smooth velvety texture with flavoursome plum and blackcurrant characters are swept together on the palate and rounded off with silky tannins.
Enjoy
Serve from a decanter with roast lamb or pork over the next six years.

  • "Deep purple! Almost black wine such is the concentration. Smoky oaky spice on the nose, the palate is an echo of the nose, loud and proud - big oaky spice with vanilla and chocolate. If you like big New World reds with lashings of oak, this one's for you. Score: 88/100 "
