From the superb Boekenhoutskloof estate hails this Syrah from the cooler Walker Bay area, meaning slightly more restraint and balance. The wine is matured for 15 months in French oak for added polish and roundness.

Spicy, rich fruit and a real emphasis on toasty, smoky oak this wine is rich and brooding, with a powerful and unforgettable finish.

    Well crafted shiraz - great value

    For the price this is a really solid and well crafted SA Shiraz. Slightly vegetal on the nose but giving way to a good, raisiny mouthful. A peppery finish is complimented by some pleasant tannins which give grip and some decent length.

    Beautiful

    I think this is a stunning example of cool-climate shiraz/syrah with an exotic nose and complex palate. Definitely worth a try

    a true original

    sorry Ian, cant agree. found this one of the most original wines I have tasted. has green, savoury, almost meaty aromas and tastes.nice smooth level of spice.recommend to any one.
