Origin
With plantings by the Jesuits dating back to 1851, the Clare Valley is one of Australia's longest established wine regions. The winery was opened by Tim Knappstein in 1969. Grapes for their wines are picked from very low yielding vines.
Taste
Intense flavours of blackberry, plum and cherry underpin the rich textural palate while underlying hints of menthol and chocolate intertwine beautifully with spicy French oak.
Enjoy
This wine would work superbly well with a medium rare to medium T-bone steak with rustic chips and sauce béarnaise.
