Origin
A part of the Laurent Miquel stable, Cazal Viel is situated at the foot of the Carous mountains in St-Chinian, near the Pyrénées. This straight Syrah packs a real punch and is a really classic interpretation of this style.
Taste
Rich dark berry fruit on the palate but with an elegant and rounded finish. Concentrated damson, plum and blackberry are backed up by slight floral notes.
Enjoy
Enjoy over the next 3 years with a classic French dish such as Beef Bourguignon or a Provençale style recipe.

    GOOD value

    This is quite extraordinary--syrah drinkable straight away --rounded and smooth--beats that New world rubbish hands down
