Origin
Saint-Amour is the most northerly of Beaujolais' 10 Cru villages. Here the grapes are grown on hilly granite and schist with some limestone. The name of this Cru has nothing to do with love, it derived from St-Amateur, a Roman soldier.
Taste
A lovely fresh, floral and fragrant wine, with concentrated red current, cherry and raspberry aromas. The palate is soft and round with ripe juicy fruit flavours.
Enjoy
Whilst working well on its own this wine will also complement grilled fish, such as tuna with berry fruit coulis.
