En Primeur wines are still in barrel at the châteaux and are sold as ‘futures’ up to two years in advance of delivery. The price includes delivery in-bond to a dedicated storage account. Before your wine arrives in the UK you will have the option to specify duty-paid delivery to an address of your choice, but you will need to pay a release fee to cover duty, VAT and handling at the prevailing rates.

Description

48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc. Right up with the best wines again this year, the 2007 La Mission can't match the stellar 2006 but does boast a beautifully classy, warm earth and dark forest fruit character, backed up by notes of spice and cedar. Manages softness, freshness of acidity and supple tannins. Good stuff. Should drink 2014-2022. 17.0 points (out of 20)

"Only 43% Merlot this year, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc. Much less nose and more acidity than the Chapelle. Lots of acidity on the palate, sure enough, and quite tight and lean on the palate. This doesn't seem a vintage that suits the austere character of La Mission especially well. A bit hollow, and light on the finish. 16.5 points (out of 20)."

"Violet and berry, with lovely, flowery undertones. Medium-to-full body, fine tannins, a good core of ripe fruit and a medium finish. 43 percent Merlot, 48 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 9 percent Cabernet Franc. Normally there is close to 70 percent Merlo 88-91 points."
