"Wines from St-Estephe are normally very austere, requiring time in bottle to soften the tannins, this parcel has had just that. 18 months aging in oak, followed by plenty of time in bottle mean the 2002 is showing some wonderful earthy aromas while the palate shows mature fruit flavours and silky supple tannin. This would be a perfect accompaniment to some roast lamb this spring."
