Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve 2008

'While so many 2007s are forward and open, Flaccianello remains muscular, taut and in need of significant cellaring. Still, the round, enveloping finish augurs extremely well for the future... anticipated maturity: 2017-2032'. 96 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

Château Léoville Barton 1982 St-Julien, 2ème Cru Classé

With massive, huge concentration, excruciating tannin, this earthy, meaty St-Julien has everything, but it needs to be forgotten for at least 10-15 years. 90+ points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate (2009).
