CVNE, or Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (The Northern Spanish Wine Company) has a total of seven different brands produced within their three wineries situated in Rioja; Cvne Haro, Viña Real, and Contino. They all have one thing in common though; the wines produced are consistently high quality and, like most Rioja, great value.

1987 was an excellent vintage in Rioja, with an intruiging nose of smoked meat, red cherry, vanilla and woodsmoke the palate is multi faceted with a rich texture.
