    Smooth and classic

I enjoyed this bottle on Christmas Day with my family, we were all very impressed. The wine exudes taste and style, it's age comes through in the quality of the taste, overall the impression is fantastic. Nearly gave it a 5.

Everything I look for in a Rioja and at £5.99 an absolute bargain.

    Good rich red

Excellent value and lovely drinking - have ordered this at least 3 times now and will be coming back for more.

    Agreed with above

Just not great. Not undrinkable by any means, but really not something I would buy again.

    Not good

Too be honest not a great rioja. Lacks the basic flavour that should be present in a rioja, in fact lacks any distinctive flavour at all.

    Rather lightweight and without body

I was somewhat disappointed in this wine, especially after reading some other reviews. It was listed as ‘D’ and described as ‘Deep ruby red …. Round and full, well balanced, long and elegant’. I would rate this as probably a ‘C’ being quite light, rather thin and, the American oak barrels, have had very little effect. Not a wine to accompany a beef dish, in my opinion more suitable to accompany a veal, or pork dinner.
