Origin
The Casablanca Valley's climate is largely governed by winds that alternate between those from the Pacific and the Andes. Tehse serve to moderate the climate, and promote a sharp drop in night temperatures, aiding the preservation of primary fruit during ripening.
Taste
Aromas of peach, apricot, dessert apples and vanilla open the show for a palate with more round, ripe stone fruits and citrus. 3 months in oak barrels has added a touch of creaminess on the finish.
Enjoy
Best served with poached salmon, cod or Dover sole, or mussels in a creamy sauce.

    very refreshing lovely wine

Such a refreshing wine, the best I have tasted in years and so popular with friends. Dry but fruity, perfect with or without food. Strobgly recommended.

    Easy drinking Chardonnay

Tucked into a bottle of the 2012 vintage in late Feb 2013. Pale lemon in colour in the glass with a nose of apples and peaches. Its a wine you could serve to people who are avid chardonnay haters, as its such easy drinking with or without food, and for me it hardly had any oak and certainly wasn't too intense or full bodied. Don't serve too chilled to get the most out of the fruit flavours.

    Cracking!

Lovely full-bodied chards that is not afraid to flaunt it's virtues. Buttery, a bit oaky, loads of flavour, none of yer wishy-washy watery stuff

    Great value

Full bodied chardonnay. Oakey but not too much - just enough to give it a bit of a bite. Good fruit - citrus and pineapple. Perfect for those who like to drink white wine with red meat.

    Superlative value for money

Okay, there are a great many people who would blanch at paying the currently discounted price of £7.99, let alone the "full" price of £9.99: but for the price this is superb, and for any price it's pretty damned good. Buy by the case and try not to drink it all within a week.

    Good wine but frustrating

This is a great wine for recovering alcoholics because the screw tops are very hard to undo. I had to use a saw edge knife to cut around the foil on every bottle taking around five minutes on each occasion. Delicious when I finally opened it though!

  • A well-judged playoff between the oak and the fruit (2012 Vintage)

"One of Chile’s most recognised wine names. This offers lovely peachy aromas backed by buttery oak. There’s lemony fruit on the complex palate and a well-judged playoff between the oak and the fruit, before revealing a rich finish. (Mark O’Halleron, Decanter, April issue 2013)"

  • Sweet in a vaguely butterscotch way but also fresh (2011)

"Sweet in a vaguely butterscotch way but also fresh, thanks to the region, and concentrated and a very easy drink to like. Some barriques and very persistent indeed. (Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 25th May 2012)"
