    a very nice light chardonnay

I prefer this Macon chardonnay to the oakier Australian chardonnays, a firm favorite of mine, and good value for the money, also very efficient service from Majestic

    Terry's Top Tipple (TTT)

Retired wine rep. I was selling Louis Jadot wines (along with several hundred other wines) for many years. I always recommended them to my customers....and this particular wine proved very successful, year after year. If you've not tasted a Chardonnay for a long time I urge you to try it. I would add that the £7.99 price tag is as good as the wholesale price!!

Unremarkable but nevertheless value for money

Jadot quality is always close to very good and this wine follows the pattern. Very drinkable

    A new favourite

I fell for a bottle of 2010 which was a gift, loving its' clean fruity flavour and smooth finish. My first reaction to the 2011 was disappointment, but either I hadn't let it rest enough before drinking it or I had a rogue bottle, because it's returned to it place as a very pleasant drinkable wine.

An attractive wine to go with a wide range of food.

Your description of the wine as "soft and buttery" I think underestimates this wine, which I find has rather more "guts" than this suggests. There is enough fruit to balance this - is there a little oak, too? - and I find this an attractive wine to go with a wide range of food. By Burgundy standards, good value, as I often find with this region, e.g. St. Veran.

    Solid good value

Tend to steer away from Jadot as the 'jacob's Creek' of burgundy but I really enjoy this. Nothing flashy but consistent and a little hint of how a decent burgundy should taste. Wine (food) for thought.
