Knappstein provides Riesling lovers with a special treat from the Clare Valley. Only the best bunches of grapes are hand-harvested, before being cold pressed and fermented by expert winemaker Julian Langworthy, to express the aromatics and perfume of New World Riesling.
Taste
Intense aromas of white florals, honey and honeysuckle as well as the classic petrol notes, precede a mouth-filling and clean body of citrus flavours and a crisp dry finish.
Enjoy
Drinking very well now or over the next couple of years. Enjoy with tuna steaks, poultry or scallops.

    As good as it gets without going to Alsace, France !

    In my opinion no grape variety shows the effect of terroir so profoundly as Riesling. Drive a few hundred miles and explore the producers on the east of France for or sit back with a large glass of this and discuss what if....

    Pinke Pants

    Just too much "petrol" for me. Had to blend it with another riesling to calm it. Well made & very tasty if you can face the beastie

    V. Nice indeed!

    Have enjoyed this many times already over. Classic Australian riesling without being too in your face. Would recommend definitely!

    Christmas 2009

    We thoroughly enjoyed this crisp and refreshing wine perfect with prawns and smoked salmon at Christmas. An excellent choice of white for our palates with no WD40 after taste!

    An aquired taste

    ReviewDr Smith. December 09 1 out of 5 There is plenty of refreshing acidity and some hint of typical Reisling characteristics. However this wine had a unpleasant oily finish reminsient of white spirit or WD40. At dinner we tried to track it down to another source but further tastings concluded it was the wine!
