"The 2006 Don Melchor is an absolutely stunning Cabernet... A deliciously intense and savoury bouquet of ripe blackberries, black cherries, eucalyptus, Thai basil, chocolate, espresso and tobacco. It is big, rich and voluptuous in the mouth, but with such purity and structure. Sweet blackberries, cassis and an expected Cabernet mintiness are balanced by wonderfully elegant tannins and a smooth velvety finish. This is one for now, but will certainly cellar for a 20 years."
